Painting CJ engine cover

I've noticed others have painted their CJs plastic engine cover.

Just wondering how others did it, what paint to use and how to get it off?

Also can other post some pics for inspiration. I'm thinking of leaving the logo and 'pipes' black and coloring the rest but not touching the engine it's self.

Should just be screws/bolts holding the plastic on. Need plastic primer and then heatproof paint because obviously it is going to be heated up.

What he said. I think there were a few bolts holding it on and I am going to guess they were 10mm.

I never did post this here

Its been on about 6 months now and still looks good, the yellow kinda jumps out at you when you open the bonnet!

Yes, definitely use plastic primer but no need for heat proof paint. Normal spray can as used on the body of car is fine. Did this to my previous car and that was still as applied seven years later. Have now done my new
2015 CJ the same. By the way your car engine bay looks really great. I am a newby, this is my first sojourn, hope it helps someone. Joined today!!!
