Radiator upgrade

So....

Between a few hot laps at MCM Sydney and the few 35+ degree days lately it seems my car gets a little warm and the water temp gauge moves a bit further north than it used to.

I’m fairly sure an Evo rad will do the job adequately. But open to other alternative suggestions?

+1 for evo rad, seems to do a decent job on mine.
other than that a mishi would probably be your next option

I know my temp gauge started to get a little warmer during slower driving/hot sessions. I mentioned it to henry and Khoa, both said its because slim fans don't have the proper shroud. A lot of guys that change to slim fans (regardless of car) all say the same thing, shroud can make a massive massive difference. Not a lot of help to you ARC, but an Evo rad + shroud would help a tonne

Crap follow on question from me.

Aircon rad vs non aircon rad ?

Because dailyracecar and daily aircon!

You can over pay for CE lancer Alloy 3 row one that is A/C freindly, Fitment is mediocre at best, but can work.

Otherwise all the evo ones wont allow AC,

So how do the Evo 6’s with climate control run air con?
Or do they run a seperats system ?

The standard radiator has a very large surface area, there is a good chance that you have a blocked core. What rad are you running at the moment?

Still running my original rad it drove off the lot with.

You will probably just need a new one then. Get a brand name quality one koyorad or adrad and it should be fine.

Its the sedan front. The headlights are in a different position, so they run different AC hoses.
Have a look at where the AC outlet from the condensor in front of the radiator. The evo radiator fitment will be 50mm wider on the drivers side.
you can fit an evo condensor if you want, but then you need custom hoses like JMOS did.
