Flash function uses normal beam

Hi guys,

My flash function uses the normal beams instead of the high beams.
The car has had an engine conversion so I assume something must've been wired wrong there.

Does anyone know how the flash function works?
ie, is there a separate relay for it, or does it somehow use the normal high beam relay?

Any suggestions what I should be checking out first to fix this?

what engine did you convert from/to? i have wiring diagrams for CE/CG/CH (they're in the gregory's 04275). if i'm reading them correctly, CE ran the high and low beams through the same relay unit, and doesn't seem to have separate wiring for the flash function. the CG/CH seem to have separate relays for each of high/low/park, but it's not clear to me how they're wired to the switches (there's lots of "refer to diagram x for this section of the diagram" and i lose track)

The car started life with a 4G93 but now has a 6A12.
The fuseboxes in the engine bay and in the driver's foot area are from an FTO so it seems it was just a full harness transplant (for the most part anyway).

So I guess I'd be chasing down FTO wiring schematics

It does have a relay; the g93 loom for headlights is a h4 globe, so dual filament. Its a 3-wire plug for the headlights, a common grounding wire, and a normal power wire, with the relay activating the 3Rd wire for highbeam/lowbeam on hold
