Let me get this right now, EVO 7 front strut assembly will fit a CH Lancer (standard or vrx), but the rear evo 7 ones are a no go on sedan or wagon, can someone confirm that.

Also can anyone tell me the difference in height below:
  • Vrx is 25mm lower spring height than a standard CH Lancer sedan/wagon
  • King springs lowered sit aprox 30mm (aprox height only) than standard CH Lancer
  • Where do the EVO 7 springs fit in this equation in height compared to these others above.
Ok with damper difference, just height difference not sure off??

can confirm that the rear of the evo 7 suspension will not go into a standard CG or CH.
the bottom mount of the rear shock is different to both cars.
I believe it is the same case with evo 5/6 rear suspension not fitting the rear of the CE.

not sure on the rest of your queries

But... food for thought. The rear shocks found on the evo x/ lancer cj sedan has the same bottom mount as a CE, CG and CH. CJ hatch has a shorter rear shock so thats out.
I will have a CJ vrx sedan to measure its rear stock shock this weekend and I bought a set of evo x bilsteins to see if i can retrofit into a CE.

i will put a thread up on how this pans out with some measurements as well.

some updates,
can confirm CJ sedan and hatch and mitsubishi ASX share the same rear shock design.
The shock length from the bottom spring base to the lower control arm mount is half the length of the evo x shocks.
However they all have the same lower control arm mount. Width of the bush on both shocks sare the same.
Hence the CJ's rear shock is not compatible.

got distracted from trial fitting the rear shock to a CE over the weekend. Can confirm CE rear top hat fits on the evo x eibach springs.

yes the front shock assembly is a direct fit for our lancer cg ch provided that it is complete (top mount, catch plate, spring and shock absorber)

Interesting.. Anyone found any models that share rear suspension with the CH?
