Remove these fuses???

How the hell do I remove these fuses? They are surrounded by this yellow surround that pulls up a little bit not out and the fuses don't pull out with pliers...

I dunno what the hecking *poo* that is, but I'd just rip it out. No responsibility for outcome.

Had the same issue with my CH.
One of the two fuses in the yellow 'casing' blew, which disabled the central locking system.
I've ripped the yellow 'casing' out, no harm no foul.
It's held in place by two little clip bits at the bottom, so you've gotta twist the yellow case a little to pop them out.
Just grab it with a set of pliers.

I'm not 100% sure but i think these may have been the orig IOD fuse slot (Install On Delivery fuses). I think Mitsubishi had a male fused plug that fitted/plugged into this yellow box, it was then removed after final assembly until delivery, so that the battery is not depleted while the vehicle is in storage/transit, on delivery this plug was removed and the other fuses you see were installed.

These fuses should power radio, central locking, interior lights, which are the goodies in your car that need things that need constant power source (radio memory, central lock commands, interior lighting etc) hence the need to isolate them while in storage/transit to prevent a flat/depleted battery.

Like riggers and Maleficus said move the yellow box back and forth to get it to remove it from the relay box. Once the holder is out, you should be able to use needle nose pliers to remove the fuses from the holder, inspect and replace.

You can put it back if you want to, up to you, but its not needed.

Like i said, not 100% sure as i could be wrong?

I use this for convenience when doing radio/dash work, pull up to disconnect then push down to connect, no fiddling. But the whole yellow block will come out if you try harder, then the fuses slide out for replacement

I had the same thing happen to me I lost accessories in my car I think, I think you have to lift the yellow case up and then pul the fuse out... Had to use needle pliers to remove
