what did you do on your car today???

how'd you do the wiring? considering doing exactly this to mine

I used the standard car wiring from the head deck to the speaker, then used the Alpine wiring with the internal crossover to the tweeter. At this stage I'm only using the internal amp in the CD player and it's fine with the standard wiring. I have an Alpine amp coming soon (one of the small class D amps that goes in the dash) which is rated at 45 watts so I will see how the standard wire copes with it. TBH in past installs I've changed the wiring and in other instances I haven't and I can't recall their being too much of a difference. Running new cables would not be too hard at all, the time consuming part would be getting everything apart and making them fit through the door grommets.

I plan to sound treat the doors and boot area after I get all the gear installed, if I feel like the wires need upgrading I'll do that before hand.

Let me know if you need more info or pics :)

yeah my old pulsar i ran the front 6" off my amp, and the tweeters off stock wiring. not planning on running my speakers to the amp on this car so i'm thinking of running splits through the existing wiring. just wasn't sure if the tweeters splice straight into the existing wiring for front speakers. never done it before so i'm clueless haha.

If your not using an amp the best way is to run the stock wire into your splits, then attach the tweeters to the splits. Most component speakers come with a crossover for the tweeters and you attach the crossover to the speaker terminals. This will only send the correct frequencies to the tweeters which sounds better and will make sure they last longer.

PM me your email address and I can send you some pics of how I did mine, rather than clog up this thread!

I took it to the water.

Took car back to dealers. Paint at bottom edge up to fog light housing along full width of the front was not as it should be, appears to have missed out on gloss final coat. car is MY15, check yours see if it is a repetitive problem.

Dealer sending problem to Mitsubishi for approval to fix. Will have to remove and re paint the whole front panel.

Was told not to expect a quick response. I told him I wasn't in any hurry as the longer it takes, the more stone chips I don't have to worry about.

Within reason!

fitted king spring lows and last night, with new strut bearings and camber bolts up front. got a wheel alignment this morning. d.i.y tinted my windows with ebay spec 35% VLT black tint this afternoon. Weirdly turned out perfectly except for the rear window i will have to do again.

Washed the hood. Nothing else, and only really rinsed the hood too. Suddenly realized i havent washed it since EOYM. Dont care lol

Gave up

Got new black and white slim line VIC: Number plates. Available at all Vic Roads service centers, over the counter hand over $150, includes registration change. Range from AAA 000- AAZ999.
have to take what's available. small choice available. Don't forget to notify, Insurance and ETag

Looks great on black CJ Lancer grill. Even better with white surrounding line covered. Suggest covered rather than painted In case you get pulled over by a Pedantic police man
and have to take it off. Not sure of legal position but cant see any obvious problem. In fact makes number easier to read and remember.

im still rocking the black and yellow NSW classics ;)
stupid front bar has a JDM plate mount and slim plates look silly on them

Anny difference between the two halves?:confused2:
one side is smooth, shiny and clean, the other side is clean, cloudy and has imperfections.
I did wash the car before hand so its not epicly dirty, but the area i hit with the clay bar is noticeably cleaner

The best test of a clay bar is to pass the back of your hand over one side and then the other. That's when you feel the best difference
