Hey guygoils and ladygargs

Got an unknown ce tacho cluster today and was wondering if there were any known markings or ways to figure out if it came from a 4g15 or 4g93. Just so im not mucking around trying to wire it the 4g15 way if its 4g93 cluster

;)

Hello Res

From my understanding all ce tacho clusters from the 4g15/4g93 are the same. The only difference being For a car that didnt have a tacho in the first place a tacho feed has to be run to the tacho.

Cheers

Tach signals are different from my ye olde knowledge. They are not cross compatible unless someone can prove me otherwise.

Just need to determine g15 or g93 cluster

Ive just gone through the same thing. The g15 cluster has a #4 on the top right on the circuit board on the back of the cluster, the g93 has a #1 in the same place. The tacho circuit board in the clusters has the same board for the g15 and the g93 but has different components mounted.

cheers man, will check when its light and see what I have and post some pics so others can see where the mark is

This is the 4g93 cluster, it has the #1 in the top right corner, the g15 has a #4 in the same place.

I was under the impression that the max speed of 4G15 cars was lower in their clusters for the ones that had a tacho? Could be wrong
