Fit is pretty dependent on offset, somewhere around +30 should be sweet. Use http://www.willtheyfit.com/ to see how the wheels will fit, compare to what you have now. For working out what tyre compare against a 185/65/14 on a 14x5.5 (offset isn't important in this case) and aim for the smallest difference in diameter.

Pretty hard to answer, without knowing wheel width, tyre size etc. If it's on stock suspension and you choose your tyre to have similar rolling diameter as stock then probably not

The rims are 17x7 +43 with 205/40r17 tyres. iv ran it on willtheyfit.com and posted results, is it possible to figure out the mods needed to make them fit nice by looking at the results?

Ok cool so your rolling diameter is really close to stock thats good. 205 is also a pretty easy width to fit. Based off that then yeah your most likely going to have to do nothing to make them fit. Best way to make sure is plug your current wheels into will they fit and get the comparison then get a tape measure and physically check where it will sit on the car.

All that said I wouldn't advise buying brand new wheels in 17x7 +43 (assuming the above wheel is the one your talking about), it's conservative and safe but in the end you'll probably get over the result pretty quickly as it still sits in the guard quite a bit.

Cheers for the confirmation matt! Not buying brand new ones as the budget im on is tight at the moment so found a set with tires for 200$

Want to buy a set of stockies although I don't which one I should get. Pref size if 15 or 16s 4x114.3. I want to maintain a stockish look. Open to all suggestions.

Checking CJ spare tire pressure made easy. If!!! There is a simple item with a tube long enough to extend from the spare in its normal position and the other end visible and usable in the boot with a normal valve as on the tire on one end and on the other end a fitting that screws on to the spare tire valve and holding it open. Thus permitting checking the spare tire pressure without having to go through the whole process of pulling the spare out . Please could you let me know where one can be obtained if there is one. This should possibly be a new thread but was concerned I might be rebuked if I did!!!

Anyone. Whats the quietest tire for a CJ ES Sport. Size 205 60 16. current original Yokohama Advan A-460 great tire but NOISY!!!!! Current Wheels magazine suggests Dunlop sport maxx rt in 205 55 16 from selection of 9 different brands.
Would like to hear opinions from personal experience on CJ with 205 60 16.

To keep tyres quiet it's important to rotate wheels front to rear and side to side to change direction to stop the rears getting noisy. Rotate every 10 thousand k's. I would suggest not buying directional tyres for front w d. Kumho are doing some good quiet tyres at the moment. KU22's just won a bunch of awards and are worth a look.

Thanks frost7 I"ll take that on board.

Will Evo 9 enkei's fit on an es cJ lancer?

Might sound dumb but are the front guards or anything different from an evo?

Okey dokey, here goes....Yes btw I have read through all 42 pages.
Ive got an 03 CE coupe and want to fit a set of wheels. Most similar to Volk Rays without the price tag, and a size that will fit stock suspension ( will upgrade to coilovers at some stage ) and 4x100 stud pattern. If I do lower it, it will only be by an inch at most. I've got no issue with rolling the guards to make things fit.
I know I've already set a very small set of parameters with those details already.
Thanks to Res's reply in another post 16x7 +35 is perfect for non rolled guards combined with either 215/45/16 or 205/45/16 tyres is ideal for all conditions above.
So, I was looking at these but I'm guessing they are gonna be a no-go, pity they aren't 7inch

Rota grids look good but nothing in my stud pattern and don't want to go down to 15 inch to fit Rota concaves and I don't think the offset is big enough anyway?

And now I'm (unfortunately) looking at these, but not sure about caliper clearance.

So I guess my questions are. would there be:
- any way of making the first set fit without major pumpage or hassle?
- any other suggestion of similar wheels that I haven't mentioned?
- any idea if the third set will work?

Thanks for your time and sorry for filling the page with stuff that's probably already been done to death, just after feedback on this specific situation.

Cheers

Not really, will have a bit of poke so without some camber they won't be roadworthy

Lenso RS, Koya Drift Tek
- any idea if the third set will work?
They sure will. No poke though if that's what you're after.
